With years of hands-on experience, we excel at delivering PAS-compliant retrofit schemes, upgrading thousands of homes each year on time and on budget.
As one of the first UK contractors to roll out PAS 2035-compliant projects at scale, we’ve also pioneered blended funding for mixed-tenure properties.
Being early adopters has given us invaluable insights, enabling fast project mobilisation while maintaining full compliance with all industry standards. Our success comes from a collaborative, partnership-driven approach that ensures every retrofit decarbonisation project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Berks Insulation operates across all DESNZ and utility-backed energy efficiency and decarbonisation programmes, managing multi-measure, mixed-tenure retrofit schemes with precision and expertise. Our experience includes:
As a full turnkey provider, we oversee the entire retrofit journey from start to finish. Our approach gives clients and stakeholders confidence that every stage of their decarbonisation project will be delivered efficiently, safely, and fully compliant with TrustMark standards and the requirements of each funding programme.
We work with housing associations, local authorities, developers, and homeowners to deliver high-quality retrofit and insulation projects that improve building performance and reduce carbon emissions.

Every project begins with an evaluation of the property to understand its current energy performance and identify potential improvements.
Once the assessment is complete, a clear retrofit plan is developed to ensure the most appropriate energy-saving measures are installed.
Our experienced insulation team carries out installations carefully and efficiently to improve the building's thermal performance.
All retrofit activities are delivered in line with recognised industry practices to ensure quality, safety, and long-term results.
At Berks Insulation, we’ve developed a strong network of experienced suppliers who have supported us in upgrading thousands of homes efficiently and effectively.
Completed 15,000 insulation upgrades under the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), including loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and other wall insulation solutions. The programme significantly improved thermal efficiency, reduced heat loss, lowered energy bills, and enhanced overall comfort for households nationwide.

A multi-measure retrofit project delivered under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). Installations included solar PV systems, loft insulation, external wall insulation, upgraded heating controls, ventilation improvements, and roofline replacements, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and improving sustainability across social housing properties.

A renewable upgrade initiative focused on Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV installations for off-gas properties. This programme supported the transition to low-carbon heating solutions, reduced reliance on fossil fuels, improved energy efficiency, and contributed to national sustainability goals under the ECO4 scheme.

Delivered 300 solid wall insulation projects, including both internal and external wall insulation measures under the ECO4 scheme. All works were completed in full compliance with PAS2030:2023 installation standards and PAS2035 retrofit processes, ensuring high-quality delivery, improved thermal performance, and long-term energy efficiency benefits.

Delivered large-scale external solid wall insulation across multiple properties in Walsall City under the LAD scheme. The project improved building thermal performance, increased energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and supported the council’s long-term sustainability and environmental improvement objectives.

Delivered nationwide ECO4-funded retrofit measures, including insulation and heating system upgrades to improve household energy efficiency. The programme helped reduce fuel poverty, lower energy costs, enhance living conditions, and contribute toward achieving national carbon reduction and sustainability targets.
